25th Multilateral Meeting in Riga and General Assembly of EUROCAPITALES INTERNATIONAL

Our 25th Multilateral Meeting of Eurocapitales International took place on 27, 28 and 29 June 2025 in Riga, Latvia.

We welcomed our Greek, Finnish, Austrian and French and Latvian paricipants.

The working sessions on Saturday June 28, organised at AC Hotel Marriott Riga, were highly instructive thanks to the expert speakers to whom we express our sincere gratitude.

The morning session was led by three speakers devoted to European security and the Baltic states as well as Ukraine:

Jean-Claude Houdoin, Eurocapitales Paris spoke on "France and security of Baltic states: can the French nuclear umbrella expand to Latvia?",

followed by Finnish speaker Tyyne Karjalainen (Finnish Institute of International Affairs) on "Ukraine and European security",

and Vaiva Bauze (Producer of IDFF Artdocfest Riga) on "Art, Culture and Entertainment under the Shadow of War - the Latvian Perspective".

The afternoon session was concentrating on the Trade situation impact on EU, France and Greece,

with Greek speaker Nikos Vardalas (Lawyer to the Greek Supreme Court and Europe House Byron Athens) on "Trump's trade initiatives and the impact on Greece and developing countries"

and Jean-Paul Doguet (Post-graduate lecturer in Philosophy and President of Eurocapitales) on "France, the EU and the current trade war".

The conferences were followed by our Third General Assembly of Eurocapitales International, the Minutes of which you will find in the following event displayed separately on the timeline.

Our deep gratitude also goes to our member Stavros Vardalas and to our Latvian partners who made it possible to organise this Multilateral Meeting in Riga.
